We seek high-quality candidates, including qualified Registered Nurses and Care Service Employees (AINs) with at least a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support. We have all shifts available for permanent part-time or casual positions.
As part of our recruitment process, you will need to provide a current driver’s license, proof of your right to work in Australia, COVID-19 vaccination certificate, annual influenza vaccination, and undergo a national criminal history check.
While previous experience is preferred, it is not essential. Nursing students are also encouraged to apply for practical placements. We collaborate with Charles Sturt University, NSW TAFE, and local Registered Training Organisations.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting in the planning and delivery of group and one-on-one activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
- Supporting residents to participate in activities that enhance their social, physical, and emotional wellbeing
- Encouraging independence and promoting meaningful engagement in daily routines
- Collaborating with team members to ensure activities align with residents’ care plans
- Setting up, maintaining, and tidying activity spaces to provide a safe and inviting environment
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues to foster a sense of community
What We’re Looking For
- A passion for working with older adults and enhancing their quality of life
- Creativity and enthusiasm for organising and supporting activities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with residents and families
- A collaborative and adaptable approach to working as part of a team
- Previous experience in aged care, community care, or a similar role (preferred but not essential)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

Care Service Assistant
About the Role
Highfields Manor is seeking dedicated Care Service Assistants to join our team in Port Macquarie, NSW. This part-time role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our aged care residents. You will provide high-quality care and support, contributing to a positive and nurturing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meals, and mobility
- Monitoring and documenting residents’ health, wellbeing, and progress
- Supporting the implementation of individualised care plans in collaboration with the care team
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff
- Promoting residents’ independence, dignity, and quality of life
What We’re Looking For
- A relevant qualification in aged care or a related field (or working towards one)
- Experience in the aged care or healthcare industry, preferably in a similar role
- Compassionate and empathetic communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to person-centred care
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

- Providing clinical care, including assessments, wound care, and medication management
- Monitoring and documenting residents’ health, wellbeing, and care plans
- Leading and mentoring care staff to deliver person-centred care
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and review individualised care plans
- Ensuring compliance with aged care quality standards and regulations
- Promoting a culture of safety, dignity, and respect for residents and their families
What We’re Looking For
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated experience in aged care, healthcare, or a similar role
- Strong clinical knowledge and critical-thinking skills
- Compassionate and empathetic communication and interpersonal abilities
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- The ability to lead, support, and collaborate with a team effectively
